Malden is a popular city just 6 miles north of Boston that is easily accessed by routes 93 and 1.  They have two subway stops for the Orange Line at Oak Grove and Malden Center, as well as extensive bus service to Boston and many other surrounding communities.   It’s home to 29 Parks and green spaces and amongst the most notable are Amerige Park, Tartikoff which has a skate park, the Tafton Dog Park open 8am-8pm, the Lincoln Commons which has a splash park, the 107-acre Pine Banks which offer numerous hiking and biking trails, and the 9-mile Northern Strand Community Bike Path that goes through Malden, Revere, Saugus and out to ocean in Lynn and is maintained and open all year long.  The Holland Memorial Pool offers public swimming and a wading pool in summer and Fellsmere Pond is one of Malden’s true gems, and provides residents with a quiet retreat. The historic Fellsmere Park was established in 1893 and features a walking path, pond with a fountain, open grass and wooded areas.  Boojum Rock in the Middlesex Fells reservation is its highest point Malden and offers a beautiful view of the Boston skyline.  Malden also has many diverse, quality restaurants that include a wide variety of food options and its town square is still a hub of activity.  Malden is known for both its Charter School and Malden Catholic High School, both considered to be amongst the best in the area.
